This interactive session is a follow-up to our Electronics Goes Green (EGG) 2020 workshop where industry leaders — IBM, Nokia and Intel — presented proposals for discussion in the areas of eco-design innovation best practices and extended reliability. This will be a working session where we invite you to learn more about these two project proposals and to provide live, interactive feedback and discussion.
iNEMI’s Sustainable Electronics Technology Integration Group (TIG) identified several areas that could be addressed by iNEMI. Two of these were in extended reliability and eco-design. For extended reliability, feedback is needed on whether the focus should be on system-level or component-level testing as well as what testing exists today that looks beyond the expected use of product/components and how we could or should assess extended reliability. We also want to hear your thoughts and priorities on what is important in eco-design, who the innovators are in eco-design today, and other challenges and opportunities you see in the eco-design space.
