iNEMI Adds 10 New Members in First Quarter of 2010

Herndon, VA — April 7, 2010 — The International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI), an industry-led consortium, expanded its membership roster by 10 during the first quarter of 2010.  It is the largest number of new members ever added in a single quarter.

“This represents an excellent quarter of growth for iNEMI as we work to broaden our focus and our membership,” said Bill Bader, CEO of iNEMI.  “I am very encouraged by the diversity of our new members, both in terms of their business diversity and where they are located, as we strive to grow our global impact and results.  These organizations also validate the work iNEMI is doing, indicating that we are focusing on issues of importance to the electronics industry and that we are, indeed, adding value globally.  Several of the new members joined specifically to participate in our new packaging initiatives,* and several others want to get involved in the industry-leading work we are doing on the environmental front.”

Of the new members, four are from Europe, three from Asia, and three are from North America.
